There are different types of audio plug on the market.
1. 1/8" mini plug = 3.5mm = aux
There are three types of plug in this category >
1.1. TS - Tip and Sleeve - one ring only = 3.5mm 2 pin audio plug = mono plug
1.2 TRS - Tip, Ring, Sleeve - two rings = 3.5mm 3 pin audio plug = stereo plug, for listening purpose
2.3. TRRS - Tip, Ring, Ring, Sleeve - 3 rings = 3.5mm 4 pin audio plug = stereo + Microphone, for listening & talk
2. 1/4" plug = 6.5mm, mainly for amplifier / mixer

2.1. TS - Tip and Sleeve - one ring only = 6.5mm 2 pin audio plug = mono plug
2.2 TRS - Tip, Ring, Sleeve - two rings = 6.5mm 3 pin audio plug = stereo plug
Avantree Bluetooth headphones and adaptors with 3.5mm plug, normally support TRS for sure. You also can use TRRS but the microphone function is disabled as there are build in bluetooth microphone on the product itself.
