The instructions only cover one windows version for Plug & Play use. To change power settings in BlueSoleil interface is different. Please check, recommend organizing as follows:
First, TURN OFF the "Bluetooth Power Management" by following steps:
Step 1. Open Start>Device Manager, expand the Bluetooth section
Step 2. Right click on “Generic Bluetooth Radio” , choose "Properties"
Step 3. Go to the Power Management tab, and *uncheck* “Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power”
Note: This will keep all Bluetooth devices connected until the device itself goes into sleep/standby mode
Second, if the above still not working, you need to TURN OFF the "Windows Power Management"
Step 1: Go to "Start" and type "Device Manager" in the search box
Step 2: Pull Device Manager up, and scroll down until you see "Universal Serial Bus controllers"
Step 3: Look for any and all items that say"Hub" at the end of the name. (If your computer has a lot of USB ports, there could be quite a few.)
Step 4: Either double-click, or right click and select "Properites" on every one of them.
Step 5: Uncheck the box that says "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power"
Step 6: Click ok and close Device Manger
Step 7: Unplug and replug-in the adapter if you haven't already, in order for the computer to detect the new setting.
(The adapter will now work properly, even after taking breaks between use. If you really want to save power, you can troubleshoot and figure out a specific USB port that you can leave the adapter in at all times, and then leave power management on all other ports enabled. )
(There steps were confirmed as successful on Windows 7 64-bit)
