My headphones / speaker is already connected. Why no sound?

If you have followed the quick user guide to pair headphones and "listen to music" and still no sound. Please follow the below steps to fix this problem.

For some systems, it may automatically detect the bluetooth dongle and set it as default playback device, while some others not. You may need to do some simple settings when there is no sound after you successfully connect headphones/speaker to PC via DG40s.

Plug & play

1. Go to volume icon in the taskbar

2. Right click it and select "Playback devices"

3. Select the connected headphones / speaker, and click "Set Default"

4. If you also need to use microphone, go the the Recording tap next to it. Also select the connected headphones / speaker, and click "Set Default".

 

Use Bluesoleil

1. Go to volume icon in the taskbar

2. Right click it and select "Playback devices"

3. Select "Bluetooth Audio", and click "Set Default"

4. If you also need to use microphone, go the the Recording tap next to it. Also select "Bluetooth Audio", and click "Set Default".

 

Note: If there is still no sound after the above setting, please go to the audio setting from the application program and do the same default device setting. e.g. Skype
